SECURITY OPERATIONS

SECURITY OPERATIONS

An enterprise operations platform built to replace a 30+ year legacy system running core IDF security monitoring workflows with significant manual overhead. I owned the full redesign - research, UX, UI, and engineering handoff.

Research & Strategy

Research & Strategy

Led a full discovery process to replace a 30+ year legacy operational system - a challenge directly analogous to the large-scale digital transformation initiatives undertaken by enterprise tech companies, financial institutions, and government-adjacent platforms. Mapped deeply manual workflows, identified systemic inefficiencies, and defined measurable goals: reducing manual steps and operational friction by 20–30%. Aligned design strategy with both technical constraints and organizational change management realities.

UX Design

UX Design

Redesigned core operational workflows from the ground up - replacing fragmented, multi-step legacy processes with streamlined, role-aware task flows. Structured the experience around real-time event monitoring with a clear severity framework (Critical / High / Medium / Low / Very Low), fast triage pathways, and audit-ready activity tracking. This UX pattern maps directly to incident management tools, financial risk dashboards, and enterprise alerting systems used across big tech and FinTech.

UI Design

UI Design

Designed a high-density dark-mode monitoring interface - optimized for continuous operational use, with color-coded severity indicators, area charts, bar graphs, and timestamped event tables. The visual system prioritizes speed of comprehension over decoration, consistent with the design standards of enterprise tools like Splunk, PagerDuty, or Bloomberg Terminal. Delivered a UI that communicates authority, precision, and reliability.

Developer Handoff

Developer Handoff

Delivered a full component library with data-driven UI states, interaction documentation, and real-time data binding specs in Figma. Coordinated closely with engineering on live data integration requirements - covering loading states, error handling, and edge cases. Ran structured handoff reviews to minimize implementation ambiguity across a complex, data-intensive system.
